Do anyone know about CB's? Can I mount a fiberglass antenna inside my Tracker and still get reception? As far as I understand I should get reception maybe not miles away but, I should get some, right? Or should I just mount it to the outside?

Mounting it inside the cab will greatly reduce your transmitting and receiving capabilities. If you just don't want one mounted to the Tracker full time, I would recommend getting a good magnetic mount CB and put it on your targa bar when you want to use it.... a good one will stay put with the soft top on up to about 60-65 mph. You best reception will come from a good permanent mount antenna.

And as the old saying go's "you get what you pay for". Invest in a good outside mounted antenna
or your just wasting your money.

It would allow you to have an invisible antenna and not have it wreck the lines of the vehicle. :)

I thought I'd put it inside to keep from breaking it on tree limbs. Alot of the trails we go on are pretty tight. And like Drone said, my Tracker is to damn sexy to trash it up with a three foot black antenna

you can get a 3' or 4' steel whip an mount it on the spare tire carrier. they have plenty of bend.

Using a spring in the mount helps ALOT when playing in the trees...

i made a mount for a 3'whip but havent bought the whip yet and its off the spare tire
