Title: Tracker tow bar attachment
Post by: keith on June 25, 2004, 01:53:08 AM
I have been looking at a universal tow bar attachement on e-bay.  It claims it will work with a Sidekick.  You would have to bolt the attachement points on to the bumper.  Is there a substantial bumper behind the plastic that the mount could be bolted to?

Actually when I took my stock bumper off my 90 Tracker I noticed that there were threaded inserts welded into the metal bumper rebar(or bumper under the plastic and foam) on both sides in what looked like tow bar mount positions...I would say for road use that the stock front metal bumper under the cover would be strong enough for towing...

Anyone got specific details on removing the front bumper cover?  Does the grill need to come out?  How do you do that?
