I'm looking for the rear license plate/tail gate handle setup used on the US model 99~05 Grand vitara/Trackers.
Some countries had the rear license plate under the bumper, but the US & Canada vehicles had it mounted on the tail gate under the door handle, so that the license plate light is a part of the door handle. I have the "under the bumper" style license plate, and I want to change the bumper, so I'd like to replace it with the tail gate style - so what I need is the plastic license plate mount off of the rear door, along with the tail gate door handle & license plate light - the stuff that fits on the outside of the tail gate above the license plate - the lock and so on (on the inside) are the same, so those aren't required.
Shipping to Miami, Florida, payment by paypal.

Fordem, I just looked at one of these for SNOWV about two weeks ago. The door opening handle is held on by bolts and easily removed. The problem with removing the entire license cover (to me) is it appears to be held on by 4 white plastic clips/locks. Three of these plastic clips are behind the sheet metal of the door on the inside and difficult to access while one is somewhat accessible through an opening. If there is a tool available for removing these clips, I'd like to know what it is because I cannot tell if these clips are replaceable or would ruin the license holder if they were removed by force.

I've never actually taken that apart so I don't know what the clips look like - the tail gate handle on my GV has three bolts and two white plastic clips, the same type of clip is also used on the outer edges or the rear lights - is this the same type you're asking about?
If it is, you can pull them from the outside without damage if you use something like a broadbladed putty (or dry wall) knife to spread the load, and the clips are readily available from most parts houses.

From the inside they appear to be a four sided-tab that compresses slightly when inserted then at least two of the shoulders lock (expand) onto the lip of the metal when fully inserted. I did not try to just pry the license plate holder off with a broad blade prying surface. They may have pulled off but I was concerned they would crack and be useless so I moved on to another part i was scrounging. I'll take something over there next time that has a broader surface on it and see if they can be popped off without breaking.

Sounds like the same type of clip to me - this style, possibly in a different size is commonly found on the door inner panels - including the tail gate inner panel.
There is a special tool for them - looks like this - but I've never used it, either a putty knife, or my fingers.

Just to be clear, the entire license plate holder (assembly) in the rear door pic is what we're talking about, correct?

The license plate holder AND the handle directly above it, which also contains the license plate lamp - I seem to recall that they are two separate pieces. Normally I would be able to be more definitive, but I'm away from home and don't have access to the FSM or the EPC which would have this information.
BTW - just in case this makes a difference - I am not a US resident (which is why my GV does not have the US style license plate) - the address in Miami you'll be shipping to is a freight fowarder with whom I have an existing arrangement to forward packages consigned to me, to my home in Guyana at my expense - from your point of view, there's no difference to your sending it to someone living in Miami.
Edit.
Let me rephrase that - the license plate holder shown in your picture is one piece of plastic, but the top part, above the license plate also contains the handle used to open the door and the license plate lamps - I need the whole lot.
