Title: tracker stalling
Post by: blaster716 on August 22, 2010, 05:48:21 PM
I just bought a 93 Tracker with a 8v 1.6l .  It starts up and runs great , very smooth , lots of power no knocks or ticks.
after driving for about 5 min. it shuts down as if i turner the key off.
If i let it sit for another 5 min. it starts right up and runs finr for another 5 min.
Any ideas where i shoud start looking for the problem.

sounds like a classic ignition module or ignition coil overheating failure.....?

Where is the ignition module on the tracker ? is it in the distributor like on most gm cars ? and is there a way to test it ?
