94 sam i was wheeling yesterday and got stuck. when i got it lossse i drove into s tree put it in reverse and then 1st gear now it wont go into any gear trnsfercase seems to be working is there anything i can check before i pile the cash where its not needed

Will it go into gear with the motor off? If so it's probably a clutch/clutch cable problem... especially if you overheated the clutch trying to get out... If not check the shifter... the Kicks have a plastic bushing that can go bad, not sure about the samurai's.
