So is there any difference between the Doug Thorley and the Calmini header? If so what are they?
-
Design for both is different, collecter styles, length of tubing, finishes, and the 8v and 16v headers are two completely different animals , so you can't compare them. Does Thorley make a header for the 16v?

I'm pretty sure my Thorley header is the ONLY 50-state emissions legal header for the 8v. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think any others are 50-state compliant.
Calmini's looks the same so you may be able to "fool" a smog tech if you provided the E.O. # from the Thorley header.

Honestly, neither of these is much of a deal compared to the stock unit. The stock 8V cast-iron header is a really nice 4-into-2 unit with a 2" outlet that cleans up nice and lasts forever. The after-market tubing headers don't add anything & are just a joke.
