Title: Debating on this Motor

Ok guys here is what i have a 92 sidekick its got 226,000Km on it the 8 Valve is dieing its burning and leaking oil alot.

Now i can get a complete 16V motor ,ecu , wiring harness, mas air and intake box for about the same price as to rebuilt my 8 Valve.

Now if i get the 16V what all else do i have to change any bell housings, clutchs. anything help out guys thanks

 No physical changes. The accessories, like the a/c, the p/s, the alternator, the fan, the flywheel, bellhousing, and the motor mount brackets are all interchangeable with both engines. The only miscellaneous bracket that I found is special with the 16v, is the upper mount for the a/c compressor. It's shaped to go around the exhaust manifold.

So its a straight forward swap the motors and the wiring harnesses.??

Hows the gas millage on the 16v id think better?

gas milage is about the same..depends on how bad u dog the little motor =) lol u can get 250mile per tank or 120 just like the 8v lol (grandpa has a 02 tracker)

 Well, stock for stock, I beleive the 16v 4 door and an 8v 2 door get about 28-30mpg on the highway, stock. Heather gets about 20 in a 4 door with a 16v on 33s, and my lwb sammy got 18 with a carburated 8v 1.6 with 35s. Hope that helps.
