Gotta 95 geo tracker lsi two door want to make my doors removable seems easy enough (cut pins replace pins with some that just slide in and out) if its this simple where exactly do I buy the pins, how many , and what size want to do it this weekend
-
A 5/16" pin works fine, and the doors will come off fine, but it's
a pain to get them back on, as there is little room to get the pins back in.
Also the door limit strap thing needs to be removed

I have seen two types of pi, the early types have a circlip and can be removed fairly easily when the excess paint is scraped off in the centre. The other type has a rivetted head, I had these and cut them off and replaced them with the early type.

THANKS guys I got three pins replaced today ran outta light on the fourth one. That will get done tomorrow can't wait to feel the air. THANKS AGAIN

The 5/16" pin I was talking about is called a hitch pin, it has a
ring on one side and a little spring loaded ball on the other so
it sort of stays put and won't just fall or slip out

also, dont forget that most states require vehicles to have mirrors if driven on public roads and highways...you may want to look into that if ya wanna keep the law off your butt
-
Don't forget to check if you can actually drive with your doors off, here in BC it's against the law, that's why I use door nets, which give the same feeling and looks cool too. IMHO. 8)

Wally-World has $20 universal ATV mirrors that clamp on to the hinge bracket on the body. I have used them before on my Jeep Commanche truck, and drove it out of state a couple of times with NO trouble fromt he cops, just funny looks. The biggest thing that ever happened was in Ohio when I got stopped by a Cinci cop. He asked where my doors where and I told him at home. He asked "Why" and I said that I wanted them off, as it was a nice day and that if the factory didn't want them removeable, then, they would not have used bolts to install them. Jeep Logic prevailed for once. Just make sure that you also comply with DOT regs. on that...

I'm going to use the old pins to mount old motorcycle mirrors to the top of them so all I have to do is drop them in :)

Please post pics of what you did, if you can, it'll help all of us understand. I am planning on (eventually) getting some extra doors and cutting them down into half doors, and I'd want to make some kind of quick-release pin for easy changing...any ideas are welcome and pics help
