Looking to get some more grab out of my tracker but don't know whitch to get its my dd so I'm worried about tires any word of advice would be great

i have a locker in the back over 6 years and 1 in the front 2 year. it is a DD. i had a spool at first and did not like it

You'd probably prefer a locker over a spool for daily driving. On the other hand, spools are very predictable (ALWAYS fully locked) and lock-rights can be somewhat unpredictable (I don't speak from experience, only from what I've read about). So, it's personal preference. Your car, you decide.
If you have money to spend, ARB's air locker is best on and off road...OFF when you want, and ON when you want, no ifs/ands/buts about it.
KAM Diffs in the UK makes some trick electric lockers for Samurais and such, and are supposed to have a rear setup for Trackkicks very soon (by the end of this year, I believe). But, just as the ARB's, it's all about your budget.

if you add a traction aid you wont be able to spin them 32's on dry pavement like you posted in your other post. a locker is counter productive to showboating until offroad. soooo. what are you trying to do with this rig? ???

That's the only place I show boat its so much funny showing my buddies wrangler and ther new fjs up on rocks and mud in my geo

im welded front and rear on a daily driver and absolutely wouldnt have it any other way. this is my 13th tracker with a welded rear and have never broken one. ive broke plenty of front and rear shafts and never the diff. its, cheap, reliable, and the most predictable locker you can have. end of story. dont spend money you dont need to.

I like spools. for there simplicity, I like selectable lockers if my pockets are deep. but I have had more failures with arb's than a el'cheapo spools.
keep in mind ratcheting lockers like Detroit's of lunchbox lockers in a light rig and a aggressive driver are sometimes scary when changing lanes on the highway due to ratcheting in and out
but....spools or welded rears will wear out tires much quicker. FYI'S

I run a lock-rite in my DD sidekick and it works fine. Yes, you have to get use to driving with it. Haven't had any problems with it and have 3k road miles and about 14 rock trail runs. If you have the $, go with a selectable locker. Spools or welding works great too, but there's always the tire wear issue for road use. Also, driving in the snow would be interesting. just my 2 cents
