Title: 4Wd air actuator pump
Post by: hublado on September 11, 2010, 06:31:37 PM
Hello There.........I'm about to start looking in junkyards for a 4Wd air actuator pump for a 2001 Vitara. Do all Vitaras & Trackers 1999 and up use the same pump or are they year specific ?

I'm not sure if the front actuator uses air pressure or vacuum, I played
with one a few years ago, and can't remember.

What do you need an air pump for? I know I am prying but the forum
may be able to give you some input for what you want to do

'99~'05 use air pressure, and as far as I know, all use the same pump - '06 & later are full time 4WD and use a different front end.  First gen XL-7 (not certain what years, but the ones that look like a GV/tracker) also use the same air pump.
