I was told this was a YJ conversion. Was I lied to? I haven't seen this on any other samurai so ....

YJ springs are 2.5" wide and Sami springs are 2" wide.
Doesn't look like the YJ springs I have seen but I am sure I haven't seen them all.
Any markings anywhere on the springs ?
Give them a measure and your will have your answer.

that is a five leaf pack. my guess is the guy put rear springs up front and used a long shackle to make them work. some of those leafs look cut like from cutting off the military wrap. compare the eye to eye length of the leaf to the back one

You give us three pics of the shackles, great ???. Now give us pics of the rest of the suspension. Like how the springs mount to the frame.

Looks like they're sammi rears. They measure approx 40" eye to eye and are 2" wide, same as the back.
