Title: how to wire ignition wire butcher owned it before me

I have searched and didnt find what i was looking for. I want to put in a push button for starter and switch (12 V hot) for positive coil. But the 2 wires going to the distributor , i figure one goes to neg side of coil , but dont know where other goes, or comes from.  this is an 86 mud sammy only. eventually will address alternator. I hope the is a 1 wire available. Thanks
