Title: Transmission help
Post by: ColtonP on September 14, 2010, 04:50:20 PM
I heard that the severe whining coming from my transmission is some sort of bearing but I can't figure it out this thing whines like crazy any thoughts to test? I know its not the diffs or wheel bearings.  THANKS AHEAD OF TIME

just pull the trans, and get a rebuild kit... don't worry about the gears or syncros... they are generally pretty good still, you can do it all, or just do a bearing rebuild. they are simple simple simple!!! easy and smooth. just remember what order your gears came off the shafts, and put them back on in the reverse order. I have done tons, and they just are way too easy.

I would have to do a search, but I remember the kits are like 80 bucks most places, I only paid like 60 or 63 at a certain site, and they were top notch... I will look for the site and post back
