I have a 86 Samurai and i pulled the panel under the steering wheel looking for the buzzer that annoys you when the door is open and I found a switch to the right of the steering column. If you move it, it lights a light that says sensor, move it back and it goes off. Any idea what it's for? Also where is that buzzer at, almost sounds like it is behind my clock in the center of the dash. Thanks

Switch is the Service Engine Soon (SES) switch. The Service light comes on at fixed mileages to tell you to get the vehicle serviced, to turn the light off the dealer just flicks the switch across.

Thanks, for the info !!!!!! ;D

as for the buzzer I just grounded out the wire going to the door so it will not buzz when I take off my doors although if your dome light can come on with the open door it will not let it anymore. I rewired a new larger dome light and installed a toggle switch on the dash so that I can decide when I want the light on.

Thats a good idea for the light as mine is a tin top.

I love it i bought one that is about twice the size of the stock one so if I go camping or am putting my doors back on in the dark I can see very well I just bought it years ago at Checker's. And after I lost my Dodge this year I went back to working on my Zuk and fixed the wires for the light now it has a safety cap (think fighter jet) over the toggle switch
