Title: another coil spring question
Post by: nuts4hotwheels on October 01, 2010, 04:10:43 AM
I have a 1998 4door, 2wd Tracker

I am thinking about buying the 2" spacers from Jeff and 2" body lift from Rocky road.   Will I have to modify any parts of the vehicle to make this work?

You might have to for the body lift.  What size tires are you looking to run that you need to to do both lifts?

I currently have 235/75-15s on it.  I probably wouldn't go much bigger, because it is only 2wd and mainly a daily driver.  I mainly wanted the lift for the look of it and the clearance for light offroading that I use to get to kayak fishing spots and playing around.  I will probably go with just the coil spacers unless you have an idea for another cheap, easy lift

Does anybody have a pic of a stock 4 door tracker with the coil spacers?

I know Jeff has pictures of his Sport with his 2" spacer lift on it.  For 235/75 just the spacers should be more then enough.  I'm not a big fan of body lifts myself, screws with the look of the vehicle and doesn't give you any additional frame clearance.

Not quite what you are looking for, but this is what I'm running.

Sky MFG's 2" body lift and 1.5" Coil Spacers. I'm on 31X10.5X15 Goodyear's on the Factory Steel Wheel. NO Other mods...

It's an Online Photo Album, but all of the Pics in the "Moab 2010" album are this set-up... ;)

I don't have pictures, but a Friend is Running Sky's Coil Spacer and 235's. It looks Great! Kinda like it should have been that way...
