Title: Toyo open country M/T!?
Post by: Fredo on June 15, 2004, 01:17:30 PM
They look great, anybody saw this tires in action?

How they works?

On http://www.toyo.com the only size are:

35x13.50R15
38x15.50R18LT
35x12.50R18
38x15.0R18
38x15.50R20
40x15.50R22

But on page 33 in august 2004 edition of four wheeler,
they gives new size in a toyo advertisement :

32"(LT265/75R16)
33"(33"x13.5"x15")(LT285/75R16)
35"(35"x13.5"x15")(LT315/75R16)(35"x12.5"x18")(35"x12.5"x20")
37", 38" and 40" too

Better than a good year mt/r or not?

ahh  35X13.50R15 is only $232.59.  50 bucks more then a MTR.  but i don't know how well they work.  looks good.

Been there seen them in action.  (35x13.5x15)
The owner really loves them.

They don't appear to have the sidewall protection of an MTR.  (they don't wrap up the sidewall as far)  But they are a darn impressive tire.

No major milage on them yet to see how long they'll last.

Anybody else?

i still think high teck retreding is the way to go... or ltb's and ignore the noise and ride...

Kinda look like a cross between MT/R's and BFG Mud Terrains...

I say go with the MT/R... more popular tire, so there's a lot more test data out there in reviews and such. I say start researching them.

My $0.02

I would REALLY like to know what first hand experience you have with either of these tires that you can even dream about voicing an opinion like that ???

In a nutshell: You have no clue what the fuck you're talking about, therefor your opinion is rendered null and void.

This is a late reply but I'll give you my opinon. I have a sey of 315/75/16(35") toyo m/t's on my Lx450 and absolutly love them. They ride better then any 32" A/T I've every seem and are the quitest tire I've ever owned. Most people around here are getting30-40K on there 1ton desiels.
