New to the forum, but not to off roading. I have been off roading with my tracker for 2 years now, and I can safely say that its one of the most capable 4x4's on the road, unmodified.
Thing is, I want to be MORE capable off road. I know there are a slew of products out there to lift a tracker, but I dont know which lift would be the best for the money.
I do know that calmini is probably the most popular suspension lift, but a few people I know have had some issues with them. The one that I am looking at now, the Old Man Emu 4.5" suspension lift looks pretty good, but I know nothing about it. I was wondering if a few tracker veterans could help me out with some info or reviews.
Or if anyone has any advice to upgrade a 2000 Tracker, it would be very appreciated.

OME upgrade parts are top quality and very well designed. They give you lift AND a better ride. But not 4.5", more like 2". So the rest of the lift must be coming from someone else's spacers/extenders. Question is, whose?

I make a 2" suspension lift and a 2" body lift that will fir your Tracker. Here is a picture of them

I'm using the OME suspension, Jeff1997's spacers, and Rocky Road's 2" body lift. I am thouroughly pleased with this setup.

I have worked it out now, and it seems like going with the OME springs and coil spacers is the way to go, So with the OME springs(supposedly worth 1.5" of lift) and a 2 inch coil spacer set, what would be the biggest tire size I could fit on. I would prefer to keep my stock 15" alloys, but I can get some new wheels if need be.

Don't forget bump stop extenders, or the coils and struts are liable to damage.

The Calmini kit is a rip off. Buy mud child's full kit. That is your best bet. find a pair of good rear shocks. I've got Rancho 9000's.
Another thing you really need fix before your next offroad adventure is the front. diff. On your tracker it's aluminum. I've broken two of them. Finally found an XL7 front(cast iron). The aluminum can break easy when your hoping around on rocks.

I just installed the final 2" of lift, 4" total on my 2000 Tracker 2 door.
I'll post a pic filled thread later monday/tuesday.
It had 235/75r15's for a long time before I added the first 2" of lift to clear them.
They fit fine and were streetable, but rubbed a lot and limited travel when off roading before lifting.
I have 1994 Cavalier rear shocks and they are perfect for a 2" coil spacer lift.
They ride as soft as factory shocks.
The specs are just under 2" more of compressed length than stock shocks, but over 9" of travel.
Any more and the rear suspension would self disassemble at full flex, with the coil spacers in it. 8)
I don't think the OME struts and shocks are worth the coin.
I've seen too many people blow them out after only a few months/ a year or so of use.
The aftermarket parts store ones don't ride as soft, but they can be had with a warranty and are cheaper to boot.

I am the Jeff that guys are referring to. I make a 2" coil/strut combo lift.

So some guys on here are running 3.5" suspension lifts (1.5" from the ome springs/struts + 2" from the coil spacers). My question is: with or without diff drop brackets? Because I was under the impression that anything over 2" needs diff drop brackets. Thanks.

You only need the diff drop brackets if you plan on putting your truck in 4x4...ever. Also you'd need them if you plan on going over any bumps. That is my smart ass way of saying that they are important.
