I have been looking for Samurais for awhile and brought a 92 a couple months ago and I noticed that there were many more late 80s samurais out there for sale than early 90 models. Did production slow down on them in the 90s or do they just not come up for sale as often? thanks c

You can thank Consumer Reports for that, after they slandered Suzuki
and in particular the Samurai as an unsafe vehicle, and that they roll over
easy, once that was published Samurai sales plummeted and Suzuki pulled
the Samurai from the American market, I think the last year was 92 or 94
I'm not sure.
I would of gotten a Samurai except it doesn't come with an automatic and
my wife can't (read won't) drive a stick, so I got the Sidekick instead

I thought something had to be up ??? You should have got one of each his and hers zooks :)

Ya, would of been nice, but the Sidekick was the second vehicle
and we were struggling newlyweds, WAY BACK IN 89, been married
since Nov 88 ;)

95 was the last model year samurais were available in the US.
Here is a link to the sales numbers in the US (about 30 seconds into the video). Not sure where the info came from, so I don't know how accurate it is....but it is the only numbers I have ever seen on samurai sales.
