Is it stock or lifted, do you want to lift it, what about tires stock or bigger? Sorry but we need more details from you. What kind of trails are near you any mud there? There are plenty of choices for gearing which makes it kinda hard to just tell you to run a certain setup without knowing more about what you have and what you want out of it. What works for me may not work for you.

its lifted right now with block front and rear. Thats how i bought it. so i might run that for a little bit. tires that are on it are 31's, Really i want to be able to do everything, speed i would like 55-60, im not looking for a swamp king but i good in between mud and rock crawling .
I looked at a couple samurai's before i found a good deal and they had almost like a fold together shackle to give it more flex. this is a beater i dont plan on spending a whole lot of money. so a good budget lift would be nice

Ok first junk the blocks (my opinion) I have seem them crack, and also shoot out from under the rig. personally I would just run stock springs (good ones) for now or getting some lifted springs or YJ springs. As far as gearing, I also have 31" tires and I plan on running 4.57 ring and pinon gears with 4.16 transfer case gears that should let you fly down the freeway and crawl up most anything. Right now I have totally stock gearing and I can get up to about 55-60 MPH on flat ground, you may have more then a gearing problem if you can't get that or better.
