I am selling my custom built off road utility trailer.
I built it to tow behind my Suzuki Samurai, to haul all of the camping gear and tools that I couldn't (or didn't want to) fit inside my rig. I usually put a few totes full of my camp kitchen items, sleeping bags, clothes, etc. and filled the toolbox up with tools. I have pulled it all over Oregon, Washington, and California over the last several years on the backcountry discovery routes and it works great. I haven't used it for the last 2 years and its time for somebody else to put it to good use.
Trailer has the following features:
-pintle eye and long tongue allow for maximum articulation off road. Trailer has full range of motion without binding behind the tow rig
-Locking 49" aluminum diamond tread toolbox allows for locking storage for your more valuable items
-grommet mount flush lights are protected from rocks and other trail damage
-fenders are constructed of 1/8" steel diamond tread and withstand impact with trees, rocks, and other trail obstacles. No worries about dents
-Frame is fully boxed, and pressure seams are TIG welded. Air fittings are plumbed into the front of the frame; so the frame is a useful air reservoir for airing up tires, stoking a fire, filling up a raft, inflating an air mattress, etc. I used to run a viair air compressor in the toolbox, but took it out when I installed onboard air in my trail rigs. Now I just run an air hose from my tow rig to the trailer for additional reservoir space.
-Trailer has full leaf spring suspension and shock absorbers so it doesn't bounce all over the trail
-33x12.5x15 tires offer plenty of ground clearance
-Trailer is titled and licensed in Oregon
-Springs are rear leaf springs from a Suzuki Samurai at factory spring width; the idea was to have a rear Samurai axle under it for spare parts (it's a very convenient way to carry spare axles, diff parts, springs, matching wheels and tires, etc.). I used to have a sami axle under it, but a few years back I began towing it with my Jeep Cherokee and I wanted the lug patterns to match, so I built a new axle for it with 5x4.5 bolt pattern hubs and wheels. That's the axle that is currently under it, but a sami axle will bolt right back into place if desired.
