Apparently you guys aren't familiar with the aerial acrobatics of Sean (flying high) DeVinney?

Or the Track kick antics of Mike Hagen.  Either IFS or Solid axle you must be prepared.  I believe experience is the best teacher, and DeVinney & Hagen have a laundry list of broken part experience...

ANd a pic of High flying DeVInney...in his Samurai.

The Jeep LOST....

Sean did this for 3 days stright in competition about 5 or 6 runs per event /day.  He was able to drive it home and wheel it again at GoneZook'n a month later.

I've seen both of these guys do some sick things with good results.  They are certinly testing the outer edge of the factory build design.

Bad pic form Gone Zook'n

From what I understand, the weak point is the upper strut mounts, bending in from the forces.

In stock form the bump stops hit before the strut bottoms.  I guess the mount is bending from the shok load of the strut dampening force ???...  Looks like a good excuse for progressive air bump stops...

In OZ the widetrack/Sport versions have a strut brace as standard that can be made to fit the standard kick. Particularly beneficial if jumping or doing sand work.

EVIL SEED  ::)

The trailing arms are not even a worry. The strut towers need a brace and then some nice bump stops.  ;)

As far as which is better I prefer IFS but Ive seen Sean do some sick jumping in a straight axle Sami too.
