Title: 1 gen body lift on a 2000 tracker?
Post by: Hellfire on October 26, 2010, 02:46:31 PM
Hello, I bought a Rocky Road 2'' body lift for my 2000 tracker and they sent me one for the first gen models. I called and talked to them and they mailed me the brake line extensions and said body lift's are the same. What do you guys with experience working on both models think, are they the same?

Yes the body lifts are the same, but you will need a steering shat extension of the steering shaft or it will bind. Here is a link to my site I make the steering shaft extensions.

They get them from Sky Offroad Design. They are the same. You will probably need to get longer bolts for the front mount and good luck figuring out where the break lines go Rocky Road does not even know.
You will need to fab some mounts for your rear break lines.

Actually we MAKE everything we sell, our steering shaft spacer are NOT from sky. Ours are machined from 1 solid piece there are two pieces of tube, one inside the other. We also supply the correct hardware for the kit unlike theres, and ours are are $10 cheaper and they actually work, so to sum it up they are NOT the same at all.

you will need longer front bolts, my rr bl did and they sent all the 'right' parts...  the brake line extensions are not needed and nothing more than a waste of money.  some tiewraps on the front strut if needed, no they never broke or came off and i beat the snot outta mine.  for the rear simply disconnect the parking brake clip, this frees things up nicely.
