Title: Fuse & diagram, 04 Suzuki GV 4WD
Post by: Neohesh on October 30, 2010, 10:38:47 AM
2004 Suzuki Grand Vitara

tail lights went out. don't have the owner's manual. located a small fusebox above the right front tire. took fuses out one by one and checked them, but they all looked fine. Must have put one in the wrong slot or something because now when I start my car, the the radio flashes " S   Y   S" and I can't shift out of park.

looked everywhere online for a service manual, but no dice. Is there a fusebox diagram anywhere?

Any help would be much appreciated

ok, the fuse box your looking for is in the lower kick panel on the driver side. just beside your left foot, its a bit hard to see, but you will find it, the box under the hood you found is more for engine and ac type stuff.

my old grand vitara did this after my trailer light wires shorted out and blew the brake light fuse, it also cuts power to your brake light switch on the pedal witch, also controls the shifter lock override, and thats why you cant shift out of park.

the fuse box cover will have a read out of what all the fuses do.

Here's another source of most manuals in an easily readable .pdf format without the need to create an account or wait for the transfer to start.

Hope that helps... Good luck!

Thanks for posting the manuals!  Wish I had the transmission one when I rebuilt it.
