Title: Source for bolts?
Post by: thedeep on November 22, 2010, 07:04:04 PM
I have a Rocky Road adapter plate for the 1.3 to a 1.6 engine. I've pulled the trans..waiting on the new (used) one to arrive. Some of the hardware looks pretty rough--I've had the tranny out a few times. Anyhow, anyone have a source for M10 x 1.25 x 40 countersunk bolts? I can't find them anywhere. Lots of course threaded M10's, but no fine threads.

Suzuki uses JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) for hardware, nuts and bolts. Its different from that used in Europe/US. Typically, the thread pitch is finer and the bolt heads are smaller. Some links:

I've converted some exposed fasteners to the exotic high-strength stainless (ARP, mostly) from TotallyStainless.
