Post by: minihop on November 29, 2010, 11:41:36 AM
Has anyone ever tried these cheap seats from ebay?

Not planning on doing anything hardcore, just a little light off-roading and some daily driver activities.

Opinions?

They were $278 shipped.  You could do pretty much any other seat in a junkyard for less than half of that.

I don't know about the junk yards where you guys are at, but here seats are treated like a after thought. windows left open to the weather, greasy parts stacked on top of them, I couldn't find a decent pair in my u pull it.

Hmm.  I got some great Neon seats for $30/pair.  Did you try other yards?

As for fitting the seats, you should be able to make them fit but it might be tight.  BRD HNTR modified his existing mounts to allow a set of aftermarket seats similar to yours to fit in properly.  Some welding and cutting will probably be required.
