Title: Grinding when starting

my 87 samurai grinds when i try to start it. Takes a few tries to get it to crank. need a new starter? or?

that's the affect of a weak or dieing solenoid, best to get another starter,
I have swapped on a new solenoid from a Metro, but I don't drive my 
truck every day as a DD, and my old one the end had pounded loose so
the starter motor was good, but in trying this in the past, the motor
died just a month or so after the repair, so just replace the starter
