Hey guy's I'm new to the site I've been searching threads the last couple weeks and found some great info. I am new to zuki's all together I'm a body/frame tech by trade and I'm used to dealing with obd1 and obd2 systems.My question is I have a check engine light on in my 90' Samurai and I put a 20 amp fuse in the diagnostic space in the fuse box under the drivers side of the dash and connected a jumper wire to the #2 and #3 pins on what I believe is the diagnostic terminal I located it behind the battery but I'm unable to read the codes the light just stays on solid here is a pic of the terminal I found do I have the right one or am I doing something else wrong?

Got it figured out there is a switch under the dash on the drivers side that had to be flipped with a fuse in the diagnostic slot read a code 12 which is a systems normal code. I unhooked the battery cleared it and now it's off

Glad you got it figured out.
Also, you only need to either put a fuse in the diagnostic slot, OR put the jumper in the plug by the battery, to check for codes.

yeah I figured that out I'm lucky I didn't fry my ecm going at it like I was, I really like my rig but these things are a learning curve from what I have dealt with over the years
