am I crazy? I want the lowest profile smallest seat I can get in my Sami. I know they will have to be modified and I will need seat cushions (I got that covered) But I am going to put two up front and two side by side in the rear....
What do yall think?

You have never rode in a gov't truck seat, have you? Cushions or not, the only real padding that you are goning to get any benifit from will be what you allready have.
-
That's kind of what I was thinking, but I thought they may of improved over the
years. That seat looks like it would be rather uncomfortable, and Samurai seats
are not too bad, I think the seats in my 89' Kick JLX are some of the best seats
I have had in vehicles I've owned

You have to remember that the M715 was ONLY produced from 67-69. Thats' all, NO updates, nadda. Pesonally, if I had to pick between those and a milk crate, give me the crate. At least it dosen't pretend to have any suspension to it...
-
LOL, Milk Crate, they give a little, once your butt warms up the plastic
-
WHERE do you find PLASTIC milkcrates????????? All I ever find are the steel ones.
-
Must be a West Coast thing, I have like 3 or 4 of them, I use them for parts
and tool storage

well I might have a few miles under my belt..........about 15 yrs worth ;)
I currently have tracker front seats and zero back seats. I don't like the tracker ones cause they sit too high and my head dosen't have much room. I may try and mod the tracker ones down a bit lower and keep them, but I figured starting over might just be the best thing for me.
Plus I am going for a sorta "Military" look with my sami when all is said and done. And I will never ride this thing on any rock crawling trips or major off roading.
I pull a utility trailer full of kids and hay for halloween every year, and then a small Mardi Gras float in the neighboor kids parade. I might drive it to work one or two times a month about 8 miles round trip.
If comfort is the only concern, then I am not worried.
-
Well, the "militarized" thing would work with these, definately. I was understanding that you thinking of using them for a DD setup. I am tossing the factory seats out of my 90 Tracker and replacing them with some Corbeaus' since I will be using mine for EVERYTHING... I like the Corbeaus' as they sit much lower, offer better side/side support and will bolt to the factory brackets.
-
I wish I could use it everyday, but I haul kids to school and just about everywhere else in the world everyday so the Tundra is my DD. This little Sami is a toy that is much more useful than the 4wheeler that it replaced....
Thanks for the replies guys, I am learning so much on this site already. I ordered my sloppy shifter fix kit yesterday.

I think I got hemorrhoids just from looking at them!

What about a set of Low Back EMPI Race Trim Suspension Seats? They are going to be a lot nicer ride then those ones your looking at. I have used the full bucket seats in Project Trouble and they felt great. Even after 100+ miles on the track.
