Hello fellow 4x4ers, i got a samurai recently its a 91 soft top with the original 1.3. it's a beast in the woods and works great. I have a problem with the front brakes though. I need new calipers and i am curious as to what other calipers will work on this, I don't have a lot of money and this is my off road vehicle so i am hoping to find parts at a junkyard. I have been searching but cant seem to come up with anything. It would be greatly appreciated by me and my zuke if someone has any information on this. Thanks in advance

Have you tried searching for "brake swaps?" There is alot of informationon this, including rear disc brake swaps.

If you switch to different calipers you will need to change your rotors out. You might just need to overhaul your existing calipers, there is a write-up on Zukiworlds sister site, IZook that you can try:

Is it advisable to use interchangeable parts. I had never done it before. But how do we come to know which part is suitable. I too want to know the trick.

It depends on the model really. If you have a 2 door Tracker/Sidekick you can use calipers and rotors from a 4-door in the front. but you need to swap both.
The down side is now your running a non-stock configuration. And you need to keep track or risk having to replace everything next time someone works on it, since none of the parts they order from the part store will work.

For that a Honda forum might be a better choice. :)
