Nice fab work, Really like the bumper and the whole do it yourself attitude! Great write up too, quite funny. welcome to the fold!

And that, my friend, is how I believe my skidplates should have been designed. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fabricator so I purchased mine instead, but adding that plate around the bolts should have been considered by the designers. Looks awesome, keep up the good work.

djlantis57, it drives me crazy when i see skid plates like my front diff/oil pan and they have the bolts hanging off the bottom just waiting to get whacked and destroyed. The protectors i used could have been a little thicker but they will do the job.
As an update i am currently priming and painting my t case skid i built last night. I was hoping to get that on and rocker cut outs done before i head up to tillamook but it doesn't look like the rocker panels will get done. I also bought half of a split fold rear seat and have to modify the factory seat catch bracket to work with the seat. Anyone want to head up to tsf next weekend? right now it looks like i will be heading up there for a week for work (coast guard aviation mech.)

liking the mods so far, too bad about the crank pulley, you got any overall exterior shots, looks nice close up, but lets see the whole thing!

ya' are gunna get another Suzuki right?????

i think so, it depends how much usuable space there actually is in a four door, I have yet to really get inside one never mind put a car seat in one. The wife wants to get rid of the audi in favor of an x terra or similar and the money from the tracker would go towards that, so we will see.....

maybe not another suzuki and getting rid of a audi in the same post :'( your killing me! anyways I liked seeing your fab work and hope to see it again.

haha, i thought that might strike a nerve with you! your work on the motor swap has been amazing so far to say the least, im quite impressed. For now my son is still in a rear facing car seat, which as long as i can safely shoe horn one of those in the middle of the back seat i would be happy. Unfortunately most decent 4 doors are quite the distance away. I found several up in oregon where i just was for a week for work!!! But thats the name of the game it seems.

The Goat left me today, but it gave me a fistful of cash before it left so i can't complain. The search begins for a four door, im debating on keeping with the first gen trackers/sidekicks or moving up to the gen two grand vitaras/trackers. Plans are much the same as the goat, a budget wheeler/ DD, decently fuel efficient, this time with 4 doors.
