Title: starter problems

hi eevrone im new to zuks and i don't have many conections for info. i have a 87 zuk with zuk trans ,adapter with 2004 roedo motor. starter won't line strightso i ground block and stsrter. sounds like its going to fall off when turning . draging bad. any ideas would realy help thanks bugman.

What flywheel did you use? Zuki or Isuzu?
I would think that the Samurai starter would be a better fit
on the trans bell housing

 it  has zuk starter and flywheel that has been redrilled and cut .on crank side  motor .i have replace starer 3 times  groud motor block and starter for alignment.replaced flywheel ring . cut starter nose to sink further toward flyheel . i think it needs smaller dia sstarter . thanks for all the info i have been working on this for months. thanks bugman

My bad, I was thinking the Suzuki starter was on the trans bell housing,
the starter is in fact on the engine side. I change my statement, I think
you should be using the Isuzu starter so it matches the block and is the
right depth to reach the ring gear.

But I have to admit, I don't recall ever seeing an Isuzu Starter so I don't
know how it compares to a Suzuki one
