Besides the square dash motif........?
-
Can anybody tell me? Where are the gurus?
What made Suzuki decide thay needed an 88.5 version?
-
The main differences are a lower 5th gear for better highway cruising, softer springs for a better ride and larger flanges for the transfer case and differentials. There were some interior changes as well.
-
I also understand there is a stronger sway bar in the front on the 88.5+
-
I wouldn't doubt it, in response to the garbage CR article.
-
They also have plastic spacers between the springs that help it ride nicer. The springs are also softer. I dont use those springs because they seem to bend easier than the early ones.
-
what about value difference...as there is nothing in the nada guide showing an 88.5?
-
At this point the value is pretty much the same. Not many people realize what the differences are between yearly models, at least until they switched to fuel injection.
-
thanks!

There is no such thing as an "88.5", as far as the designation on a title or for looking up values through nada or kbb. They will just be listed as an 88.

I think the 88.5 is worth inbetween a 88 and 89;)
