Has anyone installed LED (I used Maxxima) stop/tail/turn lights on their Suzuki? I have a 87 model and I can get the stop/tail lights but cannot get the turn signals to work? HELP!!!!!

Do they stick on or not operate properly at all? Are you using a separate light for the turn signal or combining it into the brake light as you see on the back of trailers?

I put maxxima front clear/yellow lights and then installed the maxxima stop/turn/tail. I have stop and tail (both front and back) but no turn signal to the back. Also I do not have backup lights either. I do have the stock flasher that probably requires replacing due to the LED's.

This link was found using the search string led at Ack's FAQ (see link in my signature, below).
Although it is pointed out in the link above, the use of high-wattage resistors to make LED lamps work in a vehicle is inefficient, requires harness modification and adds a FIRE HAZARD to your vehicle. Don't do it.

I appreciate everyone that replied but I am still scatching my head. I took ack's information on the wiring and then put an EP35 flasher in and still don't have any turn signals. I put the orignal flasher back in and all it does is hum loudly and no signals.
I still have one wire that is not connected which is the turn signal wire. When I hook this wire up the flasher begins to buzz immediately.

There is a problem with converting thw rear lights that is often overlooked - it is in the zookikrawlers thread as mentioned by hollywood514:
The Samurai tail light wiring is DIFFERENT (!) from the wiring found in North American vehicles!
Each of the lighting circuits on a Samurai (and a TracKick/Vitara for that matter) is SEPARATELY WIRED!
This means that you must use a SEPARATE lamp for the brake light and turn signal circuit! You cannot just 'slap in a three-wire Stop/Turn/Clearance lamp fixture" and expect it to work! Each circuit must have it's own lamp (LED or incadesant).
I am alomost positive that is why your stop/turn signals are not working properly!

Hence the need for a 4 wire conversion kit! Get the powered one that is more expensive, otherwise your turn signals will stop in the back when you step on the brakes. :)

I used the powered type it was about $50
