one what? give pic's or a link or something. is this some 500 horse power adder that infests eBay or something legit.

No performance-improving "chip" product that is associated with the Suzuki engine has ever been shown to be legitimate.
The most common item advertised on the Internet is a two-wire "black box" device that is wired inline with the Mass Airflow Sensor. It is usually sold for $69.00 and consists of a 10 cent resistor buried inside fancy-looking packaging.
Occasionally, you will read in the forums of an enterprizing individual who has experimentally reverse-engineered the ECU to change it's programming. No useful consumer product has resulted from these experiments that I know of.

This is pretty much what I surmised about the so called "chips" out there.
I had a great experience with a re-programed ECU in a bigger truck. I wonder if someone offers that as a service for the Zukis....

nothing out there yet but lets keep talking about it. someone out there has the know how. besides I have a friend who is dying for any power adders for his 2.0L (he thinks he can keep up with me HA HA HA) :laugh:

Maybe not for the 4x4 range, but after market EPROMS for the DOHC 1.3s used in the Swift GT/GTi do exist and do work, there is even one, (developed I believe in Argentina) that allows the original maps or the upgraded maps at the flip of a switch - it's done using an EPROM with twice the capacity of the original, and two completely separate maps, with the selection being done by toggling a single address line.
Whether or not something similar can be done for a particular engine will be dependent on the ECU for that particular engine - the ECU for my 2.0 has the EPROM internal to the microprocessor and so it cannot be flashed or upgraded, now if there was a separate EPROM that could have been unsoldered and replaced by a socket - that's when things become interesting.
I will agree that no consumer products have resulted from this work, but I believe that is primarily due to the relatively low production numbers of the vehicles concerned and the subsequent small markets.

Yes. Low demand dictates. I wonder if any other suzi/geo/chevy/toyotas use this 2.0 engine that might have compatible ECUs. ?

There are a number of other Suzukis that use the 2.0 engine - including the SX4 for which there is probably more of a market for a chip, but if I were to guess as to whether the ECUs are compatible or not - my guess would be not.
There are significant differences between the different generations of the engine to improve the power output & efficiency - for example variable length tuned intake manifold and "drive-by-wire" throttle body, the ECU even controls the alternator output - add other vehicle features such as intelligent all wheel drive, and you can see where this is going - right?

No free lunch for us Zuk enthusists. Want more power? It's either engine swap, forced induction or some other form of custom job.

yea were going to force feed it soon we hope, I have ended up with 6 small turbos in the last few weeks so It seem like a no-brainer
FYI- I'm referring to the 2.0 swap in honkey_2.0's kick

A V6 perhaps? I repowered a Samurai once and it was the best automotive money I ever spent.
