What can I use as a replacement heat stove hose? O'Reilly Auto Parts and Autozone don't carry it and I'm not paying 45 bucks for a used one... :ohttp://www.samuraisalvage.com/itemdetail.asp?txtitemname=hose&Submit2=Go!&catid=&itemID=1080 (http://www.samuraisalvage.com/itemdetail.asp?txtitemname=hose&Submit2=Go!&catid=&itemID=1080)
Seems like any high heat resistant, flexible hose should work. Any thoughts?

I got some reinforced silicone hose for my truck, mostly because
of the heat under the hood, silicone doesn't burn at 500* like
rubber hose will, and it doesn't stick to the fittings like rubber
either

Other than the 1st few inches from the exhaust manifold heat shield radiator hose should work. A person could even use ABS / PVC / CPVC pipe if they wanted to use something more rigid. Current temps under the hood don't melt the exisiting hoses / wiring as long as a sensible distance is placed between them.
A good rule of thunb would be if you can't lay your hand on the surface then you shouldn't utilize a combustible material in against that area.
You might try a few local wrecking yards for the this diameter exhaust tube. They were used on other vehicles as well, and you may even get lucky. I stopped at a "out in the sticks" salvage yard last week and asked if they had any Suzuki SUV's. The fellow told me there was a sidekick out there if I wanted to take a look at it. I walked back and found it was a Tin Top - the 1.3 was gone. I bought a few parts from it including the hose you are refering to. (I gave a $1 for the hose)
Sometimes the sun shines on a dawgs hind-end......

Did you grab the diff gears in that 1.3 tin top???

Wild... to be honest it was 13 degrees and the wind was howling. The bottom 16" of the Tin Top was buried in the snow. I really didn't give it much of a once over. My real mission was to pick up some Toyota Camry parts. I will be heading back in the future to give it a 2nd look over.

Ya, well under those conditions, I think they can wait :o
