Can anyone tell me if my sidekick sport just has an alarm, or an alarm and immobilizer.

There is a stock looking switch with a red led next to the brightness knob.  Does anyone know what this is?


How is the alarm tricggered?

Your best bet is to trace the wires. 

A security alarm was standard on the Sport, but I can't find anything talking about it.  The Factory Service Manual would probably have more information.

If you check with your local Suzuki dealership they should be able to order a key fob that will allow you to activate the alarm, if it still works.
