I just read your post about why you are wanting an 8V starter.  The solenoid is on the side of all the starters I have...so I don't have one that will work for you....sorry.

only if its the style I need (and suposed to exist) it must have the solenoid on top, close to the block. any pics?

My starter has the solenoid on the top, it's an early Sidekick (89')
so I would say that's where you want to start your search, that is
unless I'm just confused or something but that's the way I remember
it

Mine is out of a 91 kick 1.6 8v. Prob what you need. Its the same as my 89. Ill get a pic of it tom.
