So a guy offered me a 95 tracker with no body. 16v manuel. He said everything thing is there from the radiator to the gas tank, computer, rolling chassy. just the body is missing. I'm on the hunt for the body. Its sitting somewhere here on base ???, on a training course. army paid him 500 bucks every car body he gave them. :o Hoping i can get some good parts off of it ha ha. Maybe is a hard top ::) He is wanting 600 for the . What do y'all think?

I think you have the start of a great tube buggy. It can be street legal if you put lights and fenders on it.

See if he has a title for it. If you can, see if you can take it to your inspection station to get a non-street title for you. That way, you have paperwork for it. Getting a vehicle as such can be troublesome for clearing your property rights to it.
Now, if you prefer, you can actually start on a tube framed street legal buggy once you get the frame/engine paper cleared. Many vw rails are street legal with only a plexy glass windshield (or eye goggles) and working/running lights. Check with your local DMV inspections for requirements.
