Title: Engine Oil?
Post by: Zoom on February 18, 2011, 08:46:13 PM
I have searched engine oil specs here and have had no luck. I have an 87 Tintop with a 1.3 litre, and no owners manual to help me with oil change. Can anyone offer information on the specified engine oil for a stock 1.3 litre?

5w-30 or 10w-30 depending on the temp where you live and your engine
mileage, in cold weather I would run 5w-30 but if the temp is hot you might
want to check your oil pressure when hot at idle and see if it's low, then you
could go heavier to keep oil pressure up

I run 5w30 in my 1.3s.  It takes just under 5 quarts with a stock sized filter, or if you get a larger filter it takes 5 quarts.
