Post by: obradleyo on March 12, 2011, 12:25:59 PM
So Im building a new rig and im looking for diff options. I will be using the undertaker underdrive and need to get a LSD up front. What are my options?

I know trail tough sell them but I have been warned that having one up front causes nothing but problems. like broke parts! cv's etc..

the warning kept me from putting one in my kick. (and I had one just laying if front of me)

I just put a Trail Tough front locker in my 4 door, and i love it. Yes you can feel it's there, makes it harder to steer when in 4 low, and can and will break CV's if your rough on it, but being able to crawl up stuff that looks impossible with a barely-more-than-stock Sidekick is worth it! I thought it was reasonably priced too.

I have had front and rear lockers in my Sami for years and yes it does get a little hard to steer when the front hubs are locked. The payoff is unreal traction!

I have never broken any major drive line parts, Birfields included, on the trail. I run some nasty stuff but always go nice and easy, that is the trick, not to blast over everything. You can always tell the newbies/drunks/morons by how fast they go.

A little off topic but it feels good to vent.  >:D

Yea, but once you run an ARB up front you won't want to ever go back.  :D

Once you go with a front locker and twin sticks
you won't want to go back either

So sorry I dont go online alot I will either be using toyota cv or explorer cv. I plan on making a short shaft for the pass side so its eaiser to to switch one out when I break it on the trail... SO cv are not a real concern for me I'm looking for factory suzuki
stuff tho thats why I was wondering about a lsdd IN  new xl7 or grand vitera
