Title: Lettin' Her Breathe
Post by: wvscotsman on March 13, 2011, 01:24:10 PM
So I yanked all of the choking stuff from the factory air filter system out. I put in a universal type from Advance. WOW!! I cant believe the difference. Throttle response is better. There was a flat spot at about 3800 RPMS that is gone. It just made such a difference letting the engine breath better.

I had some issues with the PCV valve and a vacuum tube not knowing what they were. I just piped them back in to the system. It is not pretty and I plan to replace the silver tube that you see and make it look better later. But from a functional standpoint it was a great improvement.

Looks good, needs a little clean though. I can't say too much about mine though,

Under the hood is all buisness for me. Only reason it is chrome is that they didnt have black. Every time I ever cleaned under the hood it has caused issues.
