Title: 1.6L Cracked Exhaust Manifold
Post by: GlockGuy40Cal. on March 24, 2011, 09:11:49 PM
 >:(So I just bought a sami with a 1.6 conversion and its guzzles gas like no other. The exhaust manifold is cracked at the 4th cylinder tube. Is a header a better way to go as far as it lasting longer than buying a new manifold? I want something that will last. Thanks for any help guys!

Does it have the EFI conversion with the 16v 1.6 engine? or is it an 8v engine
with the Samurai intake on it?

The header should help with the power, is there a 2" exhaust on there
or did it get plumbed into the stock old system? there could be a restriction
in the exhaust (cat or muff) that might be killing mileage too

Have not heard anyone complain that a header cracked, so I say go for it
