Hi this is my first time posting on a forum :)
I resiliently bought a 1987 samurai for a build up its manly stock with a spring over and Z-links steering bar
and 33s my first step was a off-road bumper and a snorkel on the cheep lol
the bumper was free (except welding wire) and the snorkel was $10
let me know what you think?
thanks Kieron.

I missed some pics
and the air ram was a gas tank off a lawn mower flipped on its side trimmed and cut on an angel
-
Welcome! Nice way to "Go Green", with turning a gas tank into an airram for a snokel! Like it.
-
Nice front emblem, works for me
-
DON'T REUSE U-BOLTS !!!!! axle repair job will follow.
-
New paint on the cheep $38 bucks an it looks good (Rubberized gravel guard)
-
I recognize that axle issue. I ended up sleeving the rear axle tubes to make sure it wouldn't happen again. But a Traction bar would also fix it. :)
SJ-410 grill on the front, a nice bonus. Clean looking rig!
-
$5 "cheep insurance from flopping over."
-
Just an up date.
last week we installed the mini spool and new seat.
-
I found out this 1987 Samurai used to be a tin top that was rolled so now it's a hard top convertible with a 83 front clip.
I'm loving this truck more and more every day :)
-
I was sick of that swing out tail gate.
-
New latch.
-
nice I was wondering why you had a tintop tailgate but knowing it use to be a tin top gets rid of questions. Have you found cables for the tailgate? not sure what I will use yet for mine.
-
I haven't found any thing to hold up the tail gate yet
I still haft to build a back dumper so I might just let it rest on some rubier???
This is what I did today.
the back seat in my Samurai was shot so I cut it up and build a tire/tool mount that can be removed.

For the latches what about using a setup similar to the SJ-410 pickup, the Luv and old Couriers?

That's what I was looking for. but the stock latch works for now and I can lock it up still.
