Title: Rear Seat

I read somewhere that the 94 samurai rear seat was not included due to safety concerns.  The 94 I just bought has 2 (looks like 2 tiedown hooks) where the seat hooks should be and no rear strike plate at all (even the holes in the bed are missing.

Can anyone confirm that the 94 did not have a back seat?

I have a '94, mine doesn't have a back seat.

I think i've read that the holes in the tub are there for it, you just gotta look. But of course, the hardware and stuff isn't going to be there. Someone line-X'd the shiz out of my sami, so i can't tell right away.

That is correct. I think it was '92 or '93 when they reclassified it as a "truck" and removed the rear seat...

It should still have the nuts to bolt it down underneath, you just need to drill it out.

My seat was removed by previous owner. I can see the threads in the holes. Anybody know what size bolts are needed?
