Well I have had this thing a few months now and it has consumed my days since I got it. I traded an 05 Honda Rancher 4x2 for it straight up and think I came out on top??
Since I got it, I have replaced the rear wheel cylinders, painted it, installed tracker seats, replaced the seat belts, added new shocks, and lifted it a couple inches with AAL. Replaced the door pannels. I even added the kewl jerrycan to the back :D
I want to install a radio and will soon put in a back seat (Thanks to CAPT)
I took it out on some 4wheeler trails yesterday for the first time and I absolutely love this thing. I went through ruts and sand traps, crossed creeks and went between trees. I was amazed how this thing chugged along. Things that I would never even try in my Tundra 4x4....
Well here it is, what do yall think?

Well it wasn't this "CLEAN" when I got it but thanks. Even with the work I have done, I still think I did all right on the deal. I NEVER used the 4wheeler except for a few days a year. Then when I would get it out to use it, it never wanted to start. This thing can still be used for when I want/need the 4wheeler, but I can drive it around town too.
Plus it is much much more fun.... 8)

Doorkicker that a nice sami you have there. My story is just about like yours. Had a 4wheeler that was alright but wanted a sideXside(Polaris Ranger). Then I saw a truck pulling a sami on a trailer. I thought to myself, that would be better and cheaper than a ranger. Already have doors, top, heater, 4WD, small enough to hunt with and trail ride in the woods. Perfect. I started looking around, i found 2. One(88) was in pretty good shape ( body damage) and (87) one for parts. I bought both for $500 (a steal). I've been hooked ever since.
I fixed the 88 just good enough to haul it on a trailer to my hunting land and sold the 87 for $300. 5 years later, About a month and a half ago I bought a 86 sami. Payed $1000 for it. It needs some work but I think I did Ok with the deal. I also found allot more wrong with it after I bought it. The biggest thing is it has a roaring sound coming from the rearend or the TC. But the good thing are, It already had a SPOA(needs more ubolts), bumpers, powersteering, and a new set a 32s mud dawg tires, and the inside is in very good condition. They are addictive.
Good luck and hope you enjoy yours as much I do mine
