I was zipping around town yesterday (Mobile Alabama) in my Sami and I passed a guy in a red lifted Sami going the other way. We both checked each others rides out and then waved. It reminded me of how guys that ride motor cycles wave as they pass each other.
So do you wave when you see a passing Sami?

Not where I live.... but then when you have the only Samurai in town the chances to wave at another are pretty limited.....
-
I did yesterday!
-
I wave at 'em even when I am in my Tracker!

I live in a very rural county in Wisconsin,
And, I know all the locals vehicles and can see them coming for a long distance away,
(You're a snob or a "tourist" if you don't wave to your neighbors)
So when I see ANY VEHICLE that looks like IT or IT'S OWNER are OFF ROADERS,
I always "Eyeball It Over" as I am giving them the "Ol' Thumbs Up" as we pass each other !!!

this is a great topic. the good old fashioned acknowledgement of others people's existence is all but gone it seems. I grew up to be very respectful of other motorists. always nod, wave, or stop and chat when off-road (usually led to a cold refreshment and some lie telling) even dim headlights when brights could be shining in a residences window.
so heck yea.....see another zuki lover give 'em a wave. and jeep owners get at least one finger wave ;) JK

I wave to every sammi i find absolutely. I live in a small town in florida and theres only about three sammis in town. I agree with one of the earlier posts I was raised to have respect for the passing motorists, so i wave to almost everyone i see lol. except pompous jeep owners.......
-
Yup, we "beep-beep" and wave to all the Kick and Track drivers, we don't see many Sammys around here but they get a wave and good starin at too.
-
they are getting kinda rare to see. I wave unless i get distracted looking at the sammi and forget

WOW,
NOW THERE ARE 2!!!
I saw another 87' Sammy in Marquette County, Wisconsin.
It was a "Bone Stock" Red one with Factory Stripes.
Stopped to "Check It Out", and this older couple came out of the grocery store;
A retired couple had it in Fla., They were using it up here as their "Golf Cart"
in their retirement condo community down there. So this other couple bought it, dolly towed it all the way back,
to do the same up here in Wisconsin, especially since you can't drive golf carts on public roads here.
Being Bright Red it will be easy to spot!

But do they allow it on the golf course? :D

I don't drive a Zuk as my DD, so when I see a lifted Sammy or Kicker I wave but most people don't see me 'cause they're not lookin at my old beat up GMC work truck. However every once in a while when I am driving my Kick, I get some serious looks and an occasional wave from all the old retired people around here driving their little stock "motor home pushers". When I used to own older Porsches I always waved at other Porsche drivers. It's just fun to give a nod and wave to other people that like the same thing you do, especially when that "thing" is a little less common-like a Suzuki.

Always do. almost every day I get a thumbs up from someone and they are not even in a suziki. some come to talk and one of the first things they say is "I had one of the those, I wish I never got rid of it, it was the best 4x4". And every time my wife comes back she says guys are checking it out and waving. I think she likes that...lol
Just last weekend I was parked at LOWES, I parked right beside a Jeep and when I came out to leave some people came up to my kick and started giving me comments about it and asking questions as the Jeep guy was putting stuff in his Jeep and the look on his face was priceless. he looked as if he were sulking. LOVED IT. As i pulled away I gave him the bigest smile and wave to add insult to injury. I think I saw a teardrop.

All the time! Actually I was in my tracker once and there was a cute blonde driving a lifted silver samurai and I waved. It looked like I made her day!
shoulda invited her wheelin ;)
