Does anyone know how to hook up a speedometer on a 87 sammy. they did a engine wsap and put in a 94 swift motor, and now i have no speedometer..
-
My 87 Sammy has a regular Speedo- Cable running from the transfer case to the dash panel (Mech. Drive)
My dash has the Tach/Speedo. Also the round air vent style dash.

check the cable coming from the transfer case to the speedo make sure the cable turns ok and the sheath is good if it is probably have a bad speedo[ could also be the gear in the t-case]

What there saying is. The motor swap should have nothing to do with the speedometer. Should work exactly the same as it did with the original motor. May have been put togeather incorrect after the swap or as the other posts indicated.

YES! what jluck said.
-
or the Sammy speedo is mech driven and the other one is elec from the computer,
which means you need to swap speedos.

A 94 Swift is also a mechanical speedo.
