I finally received my 2.5" Rocky Road lift kit after two months. It goes on easily enough and my tires don't rub anymore going forward, but they still rub when turning in reverse. I need some better wheels.....
This kit causes massive camber problems in the front end.
Has anyone installed this kit on a 2nd gen Vitracker? How is the camber adjusted? I cant see any way to do it.....

You will need a set of camber adjusting bolts to correct your camber problem here is a link to them on our web site:

You should not need camber bolts the OME struts are set to not require them.
I would contact of jeff1997 and get his spacers ,the Rocky Road spacers are soft and will mush out throwing off your alignment.

But what if you're using OME springs & struts PLUS spacers ?
I'm actually quite curious about this because OME told me I could use their struts with stock springs, and there was no mention of camber issues, so if the struts are set to compensate for the camber change after lifting, the camber would be incorrect if there was no lift.
Ah well - I guess I'll send another email...

I hope you are as wrong about the spacers as you are about the camber.
The OME struts in my kit are the same camber as stock and my front wheels have about a 4 or 5 degree camber. Fortunately mt local auto parts place had a set of camber bolts, but they are only 1.75 degrees. I will have to see how they work......

Moonfish camber is all sorted out.
On a 2001 Tracker, you will need camber bolts if you install a 2.5 OME kit from Rocky-Road.
Cam lobe is maxed out and still not exactly perfect but bertter than before....

Anyone who has done serious off-roading knows that you can never have too much down travel. So I love the OME suspension because it really keeps the wheels on the ground where they belong.
Unfortunately, I need to limit the down travel to avoid damage. Making travel limit straps should be easy to do but I would like to see if anyone else has made some for the rear end. Has anyone solved this problem yet?

That is scary - I would not expect a properly designed lift kit to have that much travel that you could get the springs off the chairs - do you know what part number OME springs & struts/shocks RockyRoad supplied in the kit?
I'd like to send that picture to the guy I've been talking to at ARB/OME for his comment and I'm sure he'll ask.

On second thought - are those OME shocks? Your first picture shows four coil springs in front of an OME box, a pair of OME struts, and spring spacers - no rear shocks at all.

Correct, the rear shocks are not OME. They are off-brand shocks that RRO sells in their 2.5" RockSteady kit. Possible Douche-Tech or Gabriel's. Made in Mexico stamped on them.
All four coils, spacers, and front struts are OME.

You won't. The reason RR supply non-OME shocks is that the kit includes coil spacers, in which case the OME shocks are too short.

google "dislocation cone" for some ideas on how to control the spring. i don't know of any off the shelf solution for the vitara/tracker though.

On my GV with the Calmini kit, my rear spring just comes off it's seat at maximum shock extension. never had any issues with it through as it only leaves the seat by about 1/2 an inch.

haha i haven't been here in a while since i sold my tracker but don't worry about that coil, it won't come off, you will here it sometimes when wheeling, just finding it's place, all good, mine used to do the same and i wheeled it all the time with no issues.

Im tellin ya, when its that low, the pigtail at the bottom of the coil can easily flop right out of it's pearch and if you come down hard with the coil un-seated it could cause all kinds of damage.
The best thing to do is make some clamps that hold the pigtail in its pearch. and let those babies droop.
