Title: SHOCKS!!!
Post by: kmohr on April 10, 2011, 06:15:07 PM
I have completed my SPOA, now I need Axle Driveline Spacers, Shocks, and Brake Line Hoses. Any suggestions on sizes?? I have a 2" Calmini Shackle Lift and an SPOA now. on 275/85r15s.  By the way I left the shock mount plates in the stock position.

Can anyone tell me how to get properly fitted shocks now that I have my SPOA?? I have ordered 21" brake hoses. My shocks will be the only thing I need however, nobody knows how to fit them here.  They just want to sell me stock shocks.

w/ no shocks on the rig, find an obstacle to 'flex' it out on, and then measure full extension; mount center to mount center, and then compress w/ a similar obstacle to get collapsed length...all 4 corners.

I bought 4 procomp es3000 for $130 shipped' 4wheelparts; found thier app chart online.

you can find an application chart for whatever brand shock and select correct travel and mounts

One trick you can do with a SPOA is to just swap your spring pads from left to right.  That way you can use the stock shocks as your lower shock mounts are in the same location.

No additional flex over stock, but it keeps the shocks up and out of the way and means you can get back on the trail.

For the brake lines I'm just using front brake lines from a Geo Tracker/Suzuki Sidekick.
