i have a 88 sammi  1.3 needs to pass smog in cali my friend gave me his stock  intake and carb off his 86 sammi   but his has an extra white round plug on the back hooks to a vsv valve  the vacuum lines go to the intake manifold and the little diaphragm on the side of the carb right above the throttle link. did the carbs change from 86 to 88. his wiring harness has the plug mine does not.the pics are of his plug

Is it some kind of idle up for when you kick on the A/C
